The Visiting Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA) Advisors provides additional mentorship and coaching support to Chicago Booth students and alumni who are interested in learning more about ETA as a career path. Visiting ETA Advisors are members of the ETA Advisory Committee who had successful exits or who are Chicago Booth grads, current operators, academics, or investors in search funds. Visiting ETA Advisors will meet virtually or in-person with students and alumni seeking mentorship, coaching, and feedback on an ETA career path.
At least two Visiting ETA Advisors will be offered in the fall, winter, and spring academic quarters on a rotating basis. Each advisor will have limited availability and will be able to meet with a select number of students. Students can apply for a meeting with the Visiting ETA Advisors that will require the student to submit their resume, a brief description of their interest in ETA, and a brief agenda for the meeting. A Polsky Center staff member will then review the applications and share a short list with the Visiting ETA Advisor.
Program Objectives:
- Provide additional mentorship, coaching, support, and networking opportunities for students and alumni exploring ETA career paths
- Build a strong peer network among ETA-focused Booth studentsĀ and alumni
- Thoughtfully and strategically create opportunities to go beyond basic career networking
