Entrepreneurial Internship Program

Applications & Eligibility

Application Components
Students may apply for an Entrepreneurial Internship Program stipend starting on March 11 and will be reviewed on a rolling admissions basis until spots are filled.

The EIP application consists of a student’s resume and completion of an online application with two short essays describing the student’s interest in entrepreneurship and their internship.Students that apply to the EIP may expect a decision within 2-3 weeks of submitting their application.

Startup Eligibility

Students apply to be considered for EIP funding once they have secured an internship from a company that meets the following criteria:

  • Company has annual revenues between zero and $50 million
  • Company has 1-100 employees and the intern will be working directly for senior management
  • Intern must receive reasonable compensation from the host firm, but not more than $11,500 for the 10 week long internship.
  • Company has launched in the last 7 years
  •  Polsky Accelerator teams are unable to employ an EIP intern

Selection
Students that apply to the EIP may expect a decision within 2-3 weeks of submitting their application.

The Polsky Center encourages companies to post opportunities through Career Services Global Talent Solutions (GTS) system. All EIP approved jobs in GTS will have “EIP Approved” in the job title. Please note, EIP job posting approval does not ensure a subsidized intern will be secured as the award is based on the student’s application and stipends are awarded on a rolling basis until program funds are completely distributed for the year.

Student Eligibility for Founders

·       Full Time Booth student, returning to campus for Autumn 2024

·       Student must be working full-time and solely on their startup

·       Students must have completed at least one entrepreneurship class before the summer. Eligible classes include: 

  • Building the New Venture
  • Commercializing Innovation
  • Entrepreneurial Discovery
  • Entrepreneurial Finance and Private Equity
  • Entrepreneurial Selling
  • Entrepreneurship through Acquisition
  • New Venture Challenge
  • New Venture Strategy
  • Private Equity and Venture Capital Lab

·       Students must have completed customer discovery interviews:

  • Conduct at least 7 customer interviews for B2B
  • Conduct at least 20 customer interviews for B2C 

Student Eligibility for ETA Entrepreneur

·       Full Time Booth student, returning to campus for Autumn 2024

·       Student must be working full-time and solely on their search
