Elfman-Wareham Private Equity and Venture Capital Lab (PE/VC Lab)

Students who line up an internship with a firm not associated with the Lab and wish to count that internship toward the Lab must:

1. Complete the PE/VC Lab student application by the application date of October 17, 2025 at 3pm CT.
2. Review the terms of participation with the firm which can be found in the PE/VC Lab Host Firm Agreement. Firms must agree to the terms of participation, including the required sponsorship fee ($1750 per intern).
3. Submit a BYOF petition form to have the internship approved for the Lab. Please complete the petition form and receive approval from the Polsky Center before officially accepting your internship offer.

All petition forms will be reviewed by the PE/VC Lab faculty and staff and a decision will be communicated to you within three business days of submitting the petition.

What is the deadline for securing a BYOF? 

The absolute latest to confirm a BYOF would be the Registrar’s deadline for enrollment in the winter or spring quarter. However, we do not recommend you wait that long as we will be facing capacity constraints for the course. We expect all sections to fill, so it’s best to confirm sooner rather than later to secure your spot in the course.
