Polsky Exchange

Polsky Exchange

The Illinois Small Business Development (SBDC) Center at the Polsky Exchange offers no-cost, one-on-one confidential business advice to pre-venture entrepreneurs and existing business owners seeking assistance with growth plans, marketing strategy, financial reviews, and more. As the community-facing arm of the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which provides entrepreneurial education, venture support, and technology commercialization services across the University of Chicago, the Polsky Exchange also can offer connections to the expansive business network at the University and the Booth School of Business.

One of 39 SBDCs in Illinois, the SBDC at the Exchange is the first specifically dedicated to supporting professional services and technology entrepreneurs on Chicago’s South Side. Funded in part by a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, it will focus on serving people in the Douglas, Grand Boulevard, Greater Grand Crossing, Hyde Park, Kenwood, Oakland, South Shore, Washington Park, and Woodlawn neighborhoods, though everyone is welcome.
