Chicago Climate Connect Hosted by Resurgence at University of Chicago
Join Chicago Climate Connect and the Polsky Center’s Resurgence cleantech accelerator for a discussion on energy, sustainability, and climate tech innovation. As part of the event, the incoming cohort of Resurgence startups will introduce themselves with brief, public-facing pitches. The formal discussion and pitches will be followed with a networking session.
The Resurgence cleantech accelerator is powered by Deep Tech Ventures at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Startups in the program gain access to business training and technical advisement, premier facilities, industry mentors, student talent, and venture capital, as well as additional funding opportunities. A 9-month hybrid program, Resurgence is designed to support ventures that are focused on four specific areas of the cleantech industry: (1) Energy storage and infrastructure, (2) Next-generation nuclear solutions, (3) Hydrogen and alternative fuels, and (4) Materials refinement and process intensification.
Chicago Climate Connect is Chicago’s largest recurring climate event. Partnering with a variety of investors, non-profits, startup accelerators, and other organizations in Chicagoland, Chicago Climate Connect’s mission is to bring together people from different climate-focused organizations to make connections and promote climate work Chicago.

More about the Chicago Climate Connect event series:
Events hosted by: Mackenzie Siren, Matt Pryor, Michael Boeke, and Sunil Mahadeshwar
About this event series: When it comes to the climate, thinking, acting, and connecting locally matters. This monthly, in-person event mixes networking and structured programming to bring together climate-minded Chicagoans to meet, inspire, and support each other. Whether you work (or are looking to work) in climate and sustainability professionally, or are looking to get involved with local initiatives and solutions – we’d love to meet you!
About your hosts: We are climate-minded Chicagoans who are members of different global online climate communities like Work On Climate, Terra.do, MCJ Collective, and ClimateAction.tech. We saw a need to build a local bridge between these communities and bring other local Chicago groups into the discussion.
