2019-2020 Polsky Founders’ Fund Fellowship Cohort Announced

The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has announced the 2019-2020 Polsky Founders’ Fund Fellowship Cohort (PF3). PF3 is a resource available to any graduating University of Chicago student who is committed to growing a company after graduation. The goal of the program is to provide entrepreneurs with funding to sustain momentum on ventures.

Each quarter for the next year, the fellows will benefit from coaching sessions through the Polsky Center and receive the next installment of their funding, totaling to $24,000, in the form of a Simple Agreement for the Future Equity (SAFE) notes.

The new cohort is made up of:

Reinaldo Pak of Cligo //
Cligo enables customers to pay their restaurants/bars checks with a mobile application in Brazil. Cligo is an alum of the Entrepreneurial Internship Program (EIP).

Daniel Gottesmann of elphi //
elphi is a FinTech, SaaS company, streamlining the mortgage lifecycle from origination to securitization, leveraging Corda, the leading DLT protocol developed by R3. elphi is an alum of the Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge (NVC) and the EIP.

Erich Bao of GGLeagues //
GGLeagues creates recreational leagues and intramural leagues for video gamers. GGLeagues is an alum of Startup Summer, the NVC, and the Polsky Accelerator.

Ryan Waldorf of Homebuddy //
Homebuddy is an app that uses data to provide personalized homeownership recommendations. Homebuddy is an alum of Startup Summer, the NVC, and the EIP.

Ubaid Rahman of  Instilate //
Instilate is a financial analytics search engine that enables client-facing professionals to get better insights into financial markets and their client portfolios. Instilate is an alum of the Global New Venture Challenge (GNVC).

Ashley Cornwell and Connie Sundjojo of Lavie Laundry //
Lavie Laundry is a subscription-based hamper to hanger laundry service, on a mission to ensure that you don’t have to worry about laundry again. Lavie Laundry is an alum of the NVC.

Rahul Easwar of LeafyQuick //
LeafyQuick is an online ordering and delivery platform that helps provide legal access to CBD and Endocannabinoid products. LeafyQuick is an alum of the GNVC.

Yang Zheng of MicroQuin //
MicroQuin is an early stage biotech company developing next generation cancer therapeutics.

Wessam Abozeid of Podu //
Podui s the first platform for podcasts in Arabic in the Middle-East. Podu is an alum of the College New Venture Challenge (CNVC).

Richard Wu of Simmer //
Simmer is Yelp 2.0. It rates dishes, not restaurants, so you can decide what to order.

Kevin Berena of Veda Grace //
Veda Grace is a virtual cosmetic dermatology service for women. Veda Grace is an alum of the NVC and the Polsky Accelerator.
