The Polsky Center works closely with members industry partners in order to build new partnerships and expand existing strategic external partnerships to advance the research enterprise at the University of Chicago. Our teams have experience with establishing and managing long-term, cross-functional, win-win collaborations with industry partners. We also have committed space and resources for corporate partner co-location enabling proximity and access to collaborators, multidisciplinary talent, and innovation ecosystem.
The Polsky Center works closely with companies and foundations that sponsor research at UChicago by providing funds to support a research project of mutual interest. These shared projects enable both the sponsor and the University to advance knowledge and novel solutions to society’s pressing challenges.
The Polsky Center coordinates industrial relationships and strategic alliances across the University and its national laboratories. Our team has rich experience in establishing win-win collaboration structures with strategic industry partners. The Polsky Center works closely with UChicago faculty and researchers conducting cutting-edge research, and with companies and other institutions interested in exploring mutually-beneficial partnerships of many types.
The Polsky Center invests in technologies and startups developed by University faculty, students, and other affiliated researchers, through opportunities such as the Innovation Fund and the Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge. We also work closely with companies, foundations and other outside organizations to invest in new ventures and joint ventures.
