Venture Capital Unplugged

During the winter and spring quarters, students interested in pursuing venture capital as a career will have the opportunity to meet monthly with investor-in-residence Dipa Mehta, MBA ’12.

These monthly meetups will help venture capital (VC) students reflect on their career goals, learn about VC, be inspired, and connect with their peers and industry professionals. In each one-hour session, the group meets with a different venture capitalist for a guided conversation led by Dipa, built around a monthly theme. Students will assess case studies and have an open Q&A with the guest speaker.

Application and Eligibility

Eligibility:

• VC Unplugged is open to all Chicago Booth students, including MBA students in the Full-Time, Evening, and Weekend programs, EMBA students, Master in Management students, and Master in Finance students
• Students without prior VC experience are encouraged to apply
• This program is intended for students pursuing venture capital full-time post-graduation
• Students without prior VC experience, or who are early in their VC career journey, are encouraged to apply.
• There will be three in-person sessions and two over Zoom — students must attend every session in its scheduled format (in-person or virtual).
• Students participating in the SF VC Immersion program are ineligible, since they will not be present in Chicago for in-person sessions.
