What businesses and founders are eligible?
Businesses (existing and idea-stage) based around physical products are eligible for the incubator. Founders must be 18 or older. Note: the Polsky Center does not have a commercial kitchen or manufacturing facilities for cosmetics, food, or body care products.

What types of products are prototyped in the Physical Products Incubator?

Past products prototyped in the Fab Lab have included furniture, consumer electronics, appliances, accessories, and medical devices.

Do participants need to have any prototyping or business experience?
No. Founders should be able to use a keyboard and mouse and access the Internet.

What resources do incubated companies receive?

  • Instruction and coaching from Polsky Center staff and other experts.
  • Workspace for the founders and their teams. 
  • Access to the Polsky Fab Lab and basic prototyping materials at no cost.

How much does the program cost?

The Polsky Exchange will cover the costs for all accepted applicants.
