Lisa Kornick is the founder of the First Women’s Bank of Chicago. From her previous experience as a restaurant entrepreneur, she knows that a bank focused on women entrepreneurs’ access to capital is a winning business proposition, and that great hospitality delivers strong returns. Previously, she founded and ran the restaurant mk for 18 years in partnership with her husband, Michael Kornick. She was responsible for the financial and operation management of the restaurant; eventually overseeing all aspects of the business. Currently she is also a partner at the DMK Restaurant Group which employees over 500 people in the Chicagoland area.
