Jonathan Williams
Clinical Professor, University of Chicago’s M.S. in Applied Data Science program
Jonathan Williams teaches statistical inference, research methods, and professional skills in his role of Clinical Professor for the University of Chicago’s M.S. in Applied Data Science program. Before teaching full-time, he worked for ten years as an economic consultant in financial litigation, authoring expert reports and supporting other experts in their reports and testimony. He also worked for four years as a data science team lead in a startup firm offering consulting services to state, local, and federal governmental agencies, and studied at two national laboratories as a Department of Homeland Security Scholar.
Jonathan enjoys teaching, tutoring, advising, and mentoring students and professionals of all experience levels. He dabbles non-professionally in origami, cryptanalysis, and the quest for a perfect pourover coffee, and spends much of his day accompanied by a lazy greyhound.
