Independent Director and Governance Chair, Lennox International
Janet Cooper serves as an independent director and governance chair of Lennox International (NYSE: LII). She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Rose Hulman Institute of Technology and is chair of their Investment Management Committee. In addition, Ms. Cooper is a board member emeritus of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado, an organization that helps academically qualified children-in-need meet their full potential and graduate from college.
In 2019, she was named to the list of Most Influential Corporate Board Directors by WomenInc. Magazine. Also, in 2019, she became a NACD Fellow.
Through her experience in various senior level financial positions (CFO, Controller and Treasurer), Ms. Cooper has developed a substantial expertise in finance and accounting, which she provides to her boards and audit committees. Ms. Cooper’s financial expertise and acumen in capital markets, audit, tax, accounting, treasury and risk-management matters assist her in supporting management on these matters. In addition to her financial expertise, discipline and oversight, Ms. Cooper’s senior leadership experience enables her to provide strategic input at the board level.
Ms. Cooper received her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a MS degree in applied math from the University of Illinois. She graduated summa cum laude from University of Illinois with a double major in mathematics/computer science and economics.
