Anne Sissel is vice president of strategic initiatives, advanced surgery for Baxter International. She previously led Baxter’s venture capital initiative, making over 15 investments in six years and returning top quartile financial performance. Prior to Baxter, Sissel was a member of the founding team of Veracyte, Inc. Veracyte is a pioneer and leader in genomic diagnostics, using leading edge technology to provide physicians and patients with a clear path forward without risky, costly surgery. Prior to Veracyte, Sissel worked in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York and San Francisco. Sissel has completed over $200 billion in financing and M&A transactions for clients in the healthcare industry. She was selected to Crain’s Chicago Top 40 Under 40 list and is also a Chartered 

Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. Sissel received a BS in finance from Indiana University and an MBA the Wharton School.
