Darwin Minnis serves as the associate director of media relations and external communications at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In this role he is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing comprehensive public relations programs and content strategies focused on generating media coverage for the Polsky Center.

Before joining Polsky, Darwin worked at Fortune Brands Innovations, a home and security products company, where he led external communication strategies and media relations for the company. Prior to this, he spent six years at Navistar, a commercial truck and bus manufacturer, where he was responsible for vocational product and bus communications.

Darwin earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University, where he majored in Journalism and minored in Marketing.

Darwin is passionate about storytelling, video production and creating music.
