Transform Cohort 3 Student Networking Event

Join Transform and Polsky Deep Tech Ventures for an engaging evening that will highlight the work of emerging data science and AI startups. The event also will feature a fireside chat with Andre Tost, CTO of the IBM Security AI Center of Competence.

Transform is a 14-week accelerator hosted by Deep Tech Ventures at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, in partnership with UChicago’s Data Science Institute.

André is a Distinguished Engineer in IBM’s Software organization and one of IBM’s leading technical experts on Hybrid Cloud, IT Architecture and Software Engineering. He currently works as an AI Engineer in the Worldwide watsonx Client Engineering team, focusing on bringing Generative AI solutions to customers across the globe. Before his current assignment, he acted as the CTO for the AI Center of Competence in IBM Security, as well as the Chief Architect for IBM Cloud Paks, which deliver IBM’s software portfolio running in containers on Red Hat OpenShift.

André co-authored six technical books, published over 40 technical articles and has spoken at conferences worldwide. Originally from Germany, he now lives and works in Rochester, Minnesota (US).

 

Arunava ‘Ron’ Majumdar

Arunava (Ron) Majumdar is a Watson and Cloud architect with over 20 years of experience in Software design and development. He leads the Asset Portfolio Strategy for the IBM Watson and Cloud Platform and is the lead for the Chicago Center for Advanced Studies.

Ron has several patents and published assets to his credit and is collaborating with Research faculty and Universities on innovative ideas and their implementations with emerging technologies. He is also leading several efforts for a comprehensive innovation strategy for IBM in the Greater Chicago area.
