Info Session & Course Kickstart: Hacking for Defense
Don’t miss Hacking for Defense’s kickstart event. The event will be an inf ormation session, networking event, and simulation game focused on innovation. Hacking for Defense is both a class and an opportunity for students at UChicago to innovate to solve urgent operational challenges faced by the Department of Defense and Intelligence Communities (DoD/IC).
Past teams have successfully advanced into various New Venture Challenge (NVC) tracks, with one receiving $80k in investment and another that was acquired.
Problem areas have historically included logistics, deep tech, data fusion, biotech, market creation, gender equity, digital manufacturing, distributed knowledge management, space management, and cyber security.
The kickstart will provide a short orientation and walk through the course application. This will be followed by rapid innovation challenges designed to give you a sense of the course, and meet potential teammates.
Applications are due October 27th.
