Success Award
Through participation in BITC, students are afforded the unique opportunity to develop an original investment thesis, receive personal mentorship from seasoned private equity professionals, and present the thesis to the hosting firm.
$5,000 Success Award
Firms will award this to any student team whose work:
- Significantly advanced the firm’s knowledge of the target sector
- Produced actionable ideas
- Produced a thesis the firm would like to pursue further
Good to know:
- Additional opportunities (internships, consulting, etc.) are negotiated separately, outside the program’s scope
- Once awarded, the host firm has exclusive rights to advance the thesis for 9 months — but your team can still keep developing it independently in the meantime
- The University of Chicago does not retain any rights to the students’ work products
