Dipa will be joined by panelists Bo Shi and Jyothi Vallurupalli, for a discussion around the work that VC firms do after deals are closed.

Bo Shi is a vice president at Sandbox Industries, focusing on data and analytics, enterprise technology, distribution, and payments businesses across all stages from seed to buyout within the healthcare and insurance sectors. Bo is a member of the Board of Directors for Abacus, Alacura, and Ideal Option. He also serves as a Board Observer for Care Connectors, Drips, and Solera Health. Previously, he served as a Board Observer on First Dollar (acquired by Inspira Financial) and Limber Health.
Prior to Sandbox, Bo was a vice president at Waud Capital Partners focusing on growth-oriented private equity investments in software, technology, and healthcare. He was previously an associate investing in growth-stage technology and healthcare businesses at Primus Capital and began his career as a strategy consultant at L.E.K. Consulting.
Bo holds an MBA with Honors from Chicago Booth and an AB in Economics from the University of Chicago. He lives in Chicago, IL and enjoys adventures outdoors, Chicago sports (except for football–go Packers!), a good meal, and spending time with his wife and two kids.
Jyothi Vallurupalli is an investor at Lightbank, a $680M AUM early-stage VC firm based in Chicago, investing in Pre-Seed through Series A software companies. Lightbank’s areas of focus include vertical software, tech-enabled services, healthcare, and consumer & SMB tech. Prior to joining Lightbank in 2021, Jyothi was a consultant at McKinsey, working with retail, supply chain, and PE clients. She is originally from Hyderabad, India.
