Han Sun, PhD, CLP, is assistant director of Business Development and Licensing at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In this role, Han works closely with innovators, research teams, and industry partners to facilitate strategic collaborations, licensing opportunities, and commercialization pathways that translate academic research into impactful products, services and ventures. Han is also the primary contact for technology commercialization initiatives at the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Han holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is a registered U.S. patent agent and a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP), bringing together deep scientific training and expertise in intellectual property and technology transfer. Han is committed to fostering innovation ecosystems where academic excellence and industry collaboration converge to drive licensing and commercialization.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading and gardening.
