Phase II Teams Announced for the 2020 Global New Venture Challenge
The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business has officially announced the 19 teams moving on to phase II of the 2020 Global New Venture Challenge (GNVC). This year, 34 teams applied to participate in the global track of the university’s business launch program, the Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge (NVC).

Chicago Cohort //
Agrofita is a digital platform custom-developed for dry bulk fertilizer trade industry in the United States, which will make physical fertilizer markets more efficient, more liquid with greater price transparency, and will benefit both fertilizer producers and agricultural retailers. This product will then be built out into industry leading CRM and SaaS solution.
CXO Insights is a dual-sided platform that leverages data-driven insights to match small to mid-sized businesses with freelance executives who are eager to solve their ad-hoc to long-term operational challenges. CXO Insights will transform what has traditionally been an exorbitant fixed cost (full-time executives) into a value-driven variable one.
Drosent helps clients improve safety and prevents human exposure to H2S through providing services and data to detect H2S gas in oilfield environments using drone deployed state of the art technology without human present in the vicinity of the potentially contaminated zone.

Honest Health is building a comprehensive virtual care management platform (web and mobile) with a special focus on preventive care and chronic disease management. Their proprietary algorithm will perform patient stratification based on the patient’s health data made available through the commitments with their health plan/ provider.

Dolearn is an English-language program for over three people that combines newer technology with real-life interactive scenarios. The goal is to build confidence and make learning English fun through the use of newer technology such as voice recognition software, green screens, and voice analytics and crowd comparison.
FanMi is a dual-sided platform that connects users – 200 million fans and merchants – for fans to crowdfund and group-purchase support-events to show love to their idols in a transparent and trust-worthy way, empowered by blockchain technology and review mechanism.
