TCU Entrepreneurship Competition Awards $10,000 to UChicago’s Ted Engles of Athena Ultraviolet

Hundreds of college students pitched unique business ideas in front of judges in a two-day competition that champions socially conscious businesses. More than 50 entrepreneurs, investors and bankers served as judges. Finishing the day in third place, and taking home $10,000, was Ted Engles, a University of Chicago student for his company, Athena Ultraviolet. His company designs a UV-LED device that helps hospitals protect ICU patients from deadly bacteria that live in sink drains. Read more about the entire competition here.
