Phase II Teams Selected for the Global New Venture Challenge

The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business has officially announced the 19 teams moving on to phase II of the 2017-18 Global New Venture Challenge (GNVC). The GNVC is the global track of the university’s business launch program, the Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge (NVC).

DTC Lactate: DTC Lactate Testing offers the first at home lab testing kit and protocol for athletes to accurately measure their lactate threshold with minimal equipment.

New You: New You is an online plastic surgery consultation service that uses a platform to provide patient education, social networking, access to physicians, and video consultations.

Mindful Urgent Care: Mindful Urgent care is a walk-in psychiatric clinic providing same-day care for insured clients that are eager to start treatment, and want online follow-up care via video-conferencing.

RentVent: Rent Vent provides renters with detailed reviews on landlords and their properties while serving as a platform for organizing payment, maintenance and the return of security deposits.

RobinRN: RobinRn is building a dual sided marketplace that matches nurses with hospitals that have unfilled shifts.

Verity VR: Verity is developing a virtual reality platform to effectively treat chronic lower back pain.

Hong Kong Campus —

BundVestors: is a proprietary AI trading system focused on the Chinese secondary market for major financial institutional investors.

Careberry: Careberry aims to be the ultimate marketplace for caregivers and patients to discover innovative consumer products for medical care.

HomePro: HomePro will bring home based nursing and therapy care to elders in China promoting patient outcome and reducing the burden of care for their family.

OrderUnity: OrderUnity provides an operational-activity based community platform that connects and automates the logistics processes for global trade.

TAFi: TAFi reshapes the way healthcare data is retrieved, stored and exchanged between healthcare organizations, payors, healthcare solution vendors and patients.

WalletKo: WalletKo is a mobile app that enables overseas foreign workers to instantly send money to beneficiaries in Philippines up to 8x cheaper than traditional methods.
