The Polsky Life Sciences Launchpad provides hands-on, end-to-end support for select translational, life sciences research projects with the goal of launching them into investable startup ventures.
Benefits of Participating //
- Partnership: Faculty will receive intense coaching and personalized guidance from an experienced Polsky Center venture lead who acts as an extension of the venture’s founding team. The venture lead will help build a strategy for the company, identify and fill gaps, and ensure that the venture is working towards value-creating milestones.
- Dedicated Technology Venture Fellow: The Polsky Center will recruit and pay a stipend to a recently graduated PhD or MBA student who will support the new venture and potentially become part of the founding team in an operating role. Fellows will identify commercial risks associated with the technology, develop a pitch deck for the venture, and seek out both private and public sources of funding.
- Access and Networks: The Polsky Center will provide guidance on how to best utilize existing resources through multiple Polsky Center programs and regional programs. Additionally, the venture will be introduced to investors, experienced entrepreneurs, and stakeholders in the greater life sciences ecosystem at the appropriate times.
