Most other business schools and graduate entrepreneurship programs host a single day or weekend business plan competition for their students interested in entrepreneurship. The Chicago Booth GNVC is different. It is structured to meet the unique schedule needs of Chicago Booth executive MBA students. Students who are accepted into the program will take a class that is taught by one of our entrepreneurship faculty. During the class, each team receives hands-on feedback and mentoring by the professor as well as from a group of dedicated coaches and industry experts. Since Chicago Booth has three global campuses, the GNVC is a unique and first-of-its-kind global business launch program. Each campus—Chicago, London and Hong Kong—hosts its own semi-finals event. Then the top teams across all campuses are invited to participate in the GNVC Finals event, which is held in Chicago in March. The GNVC program has three distinct phases:
- Phase I: Idea Generation, Business Idea Validation, & Team Formation
- Phase II: Selection, Classroom Mentoring & Business Plan Development – Semi-Finals at Each Campus
- Phase III: Finals Competition
