Resources for Entrepreneurs and Innovators

As part of our UChicago Innovation Fest celebration, the business and economics librarians at the University of Chicago Regenstein Library put together a series of resources for entrepreneurs and innovators interested in getting support. This resource guide includes:

  • Recommended Books: A list of books that have been recommended by staff and mentors at the Polsky Center — everything from The Startup Owner’s Manual: The Step-By-Step Guide for Building a Great Company to Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die.
  • Recommended Periodicals: A list of magazines, newspapers and other periodicals focused on entrepreneurship and business news — including Entrepreneur, Fast Company, Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and more.
  • Relevant Databases: A list of databases and other resources to help an entrepreneur get started — from conducting market research to getting support with financing as well as numerous resources to learn more about venture capital deals, IPOs and profiles of funded companies.

NOTE: Access to some resources are by subscription only and for those affiliated with the University of Chicago.

Located on 53rd Street in Hyde Park, this facility is operated by the Polsky Center. Membership starts at only $50/month.
