Innovation Fest

Overview

UChicago Innovation Fest (May 1-June 9, 2019) celebrates pioneering discovery and entrepreneurial endeavors at the University of Chicago. Led by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the month of events, workshops and accelerator programs, including the globally recognized Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge, highlights the breadth and impact of innovation at UChicago in the areas of entrepreneurship and research commercialization, scientific advancements, and social and global impact.

Additional capstone events include the grand opening celebration of the Harris School of Public Policy’s Keller Center, a look at how artificial intelligence challenges the notion of truth and reality, an open house to connect industry partners with researchers and students at the Institute for Molecular Engineering, the celebration of National Small Business Week, a panel discussion on Chicago’s CityKey program and how municipal IDs can support urban inclusion, a showcase of how scientists are turning their research into 3D models and prototypes with the Polsky Fab Lab, the spring finals of the George Shultz Innovation Fund where four team will compete for up to $250,000 in funding, and more.

The University of Chicago invites all members of the Chicagoland community and across the world to experience the innovation, cutting-edge research, and entrepreneurial activities happening as part UChicago Innovation Fest 2019.
