Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Symposium

Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Symposium

Applications & Eligibility

Eligibility

The Symposium series is restricted to University of Chicago alumni interested in or actively pursuing a career in ETA. Non-University of Chicago-affiliated guests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Application

To apply to present at the Investor Summit, students/alumni must submit a PPM in compliance with securities laws to the program director for circulation to the investor network. Booth ETA has engaged attorneys who have volunteered to review PPMs to ensure they are complete in this regard. Sample PPMs are available upon request.

Selection Process

All PPMs will be reviewed by a group of active search entrepreneurs, alumni investors, and faculty. These proposals will be evaluated for suitability based on several criteria, including the creativity and merits of the acquisition sourcing strategy, valuation creation thesis, and perceived fit of these with the participants’ backgrounds.
