Gabe Hakim is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Promise Venture Studio–a national nonprofit organization with a mission to support innovators and accelerate innovations for equity in Early Childhood Development (ECD). Promise Venture Studio offers coaching and connections to a community of 400+ early childhood social ventures across the United States and supports their leaders as an implementation partner of the national Early Childhood Leaders of Color Collaborative. Raised in metropolitan Detroit, Gabe’s passion for early childhood development is rooted in his appreciation for the nurturing developmental environment his mother created for him and his siblings in the midst of significant stressors. To this day, Gabe credits his mother’s unwavering commitment as an unpaid (and societally underappreciated) caregiver as the work that saved his life and inspired his own dedication to fighting for others who are marginalized by adversity and systemic inequity.
