Carr joined Akoya Capital in 2010 as a leader of its investment team.

Carr has extensive experience in private equity investing, particularly in deal sourcing, partnering with sellers of owner-operated companies, transaction execution, and working with portfolio companies to execute their value creation plans.

Carr began his career with Chase Manhattan Bank and Freeman Securities and held senior positions with private equity firms Allied Capital and Reliant Equity Investors.

Carr received his BA in finance from Morehouse College, his JD from George Washington University and his MBA from Wharton Business School.
