In his final year at Farley, Ryan worked closely with the center’s director to create and launch a 10 week study away program in San Francisco, designed to expose undergraduate students to Silicon Valley’s tech industry and culture of innovation. Ryan also spent several years teaching undergraduate communication courses at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ryan earned a master’s degree in communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree in American studies and theatre at Macalester College. In his free time, Ryan enjoys reading, gardening, and exploring Chicagoland’s natural areas.
