The Future of Oil and Natural Gas

Join the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) for an event featuring EPIC Director Michael Greenstone in a conversation with Tim Dove, the former CEO of Pioneer Natural Resources. Learn about hydraulic fracturing and how it is one of the most important innovation in the energy system in the last half century. Fracking has increased US production of oil and natural gas dramatically, leading it to become a major oil exporter for the first time in decades and reshaping the geopolitics of energy. What does the future hold for the oil and gas industry broadly? What are the most important variables driving business decisions? How are producers at home and abroad adapting to this rapidly changing landscape? Get answers to these questions and more.

This event is part of UChicago Innovation Fest 2019, a month-long celebration of pioneering discovery and entrepreneurial endeavors at the University of Chicago.
