Polsky Center and the Young Professionals Advisory Council Celebrate National Small Business Week
Join the Polsky Center and the Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) of the Southeast Chicago Commission in celebration of National Small Business Week (May 5-11, 2019) for an afternoon of good food and conversation with other like-minded entrepreneurs, innovators, and small business professionals. As part of this event, the Polsky Center will offer FREE “walk-in” professional headshots for you and your startup team. About the Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC)
Founded in 1952, the South East Chicago Commission (SECC) is a community-based not-for-profit organization focused on enhancing economic development in five neighborhoods on the south side of Chicago: Hyde Park, Woodlawn, Washington Park, Kenwood and Oakland. The Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) of the Southeast Chicago Commission was launched in 2018 to bring together and develop young leaders in the SECC footprint.
This event is part of UChicago Innovation Fest 2019, a month-long celebration of pioneering discovery and entrepreneurial endeavors at the University of Chicago. Organized by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the series of events, workshops and accelerator programs, including the globally recognized Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge, highlights the breadth and impact of innovation at UChicago in the areas of entrepreneurship and research commercialization, scientific advancements, and social and global impact.
