The Secret to Becoming a PE Firm Partner – Level One

Are your career sights set on one day becoming a Partner at a Private Equity firm – or for that matter achieving the equivalent title, accompanying responsibility, and compensation in any organization? Then this workshop, the first in a series, will expose you to one particular set of advanced skills you will need to reach that goal. Combining a few slides, video vignettes, and interactive conversation, the goal of this workshop will be to leave you focused on developing the basic skills needed to becoming an effective Partner, senior leader, accomplished professional, and more.

Tim is founder of TKelly Consulting and a former partner at Adams Street Partners. At Adams Street, he was a member of the leveraged buyouts, growth capital, and special situations teams within the primary investments team. Previously, he served as a managing director in the equity investment team at GE Commercial Finance. While at the company, Kelly was responsible for managing a team of 15 private equity professionals and a portfolio that consisted of approximately $1.8B in private direct and fund equity investments and an actively managed portfolio of publicly-traded equity securities received from portfolio distributions.
