Lunch’n’Learn with Polsky Entrepreneur-in-Residence Mus Chagal

Mus is the chairman of the board of directors of UICO, a venture backed company with proprietary technology that enables touchscreens to work under direct exposure to water, liquids, and through gloves. He has been involved in international trade acting as a bridge between American companies and suppliers from Turkey, Israel, and China since 2002. Mus founded CWW/Kudox NA, a private label and OEM manufacturer and supplier of radiant heat and building products & materials to companies like Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wolseley, and Gerber. Product categories included designer radiators, towel warmers, faucets, sinks (stainless steel, cast iron, and copper), vitreous china, wallboard, rebar, and coil.

Mus was the senior vice president of sales and business development at FastWeb, a technology start-up, which became the destination site and search engine for college bound students looking for scholarships. A third of college-bound students in the country were registered members of FastWeb. FastWeb became a platform for companies to reach the 17-21 year old market via one-to-one online marketing, and was acquired by TMP Worldwide in 2001. After receiving his MBA from Chicago Booth, Mus was recruited by Booz Allen & Hamilton and helped launch their office in Istanbul and win several engagements in the banking, manufacturing, and mobile sectors. Mus joined Ameritech Executive Development Program after college as a high potential candidate and held several senior corporate and operating positions for a decade. As director of corporate development and mergers and acquisitions, Mus was responsible for rolling up security monitoring companies under Ameritech SecurityLink. Mus was born and raised in Cyprus and came to the US on a Fulbright Scholarship in 1984.

Mus has also previously been a New Venture Challenge Coach.
