Introduction to Joinery
Every project is made up of parts. Joinery is the art and science of putting materials together. In this hands on class we will cut traditional wood working joints, study their characteristics and consider their use in other materials.
Join us the day after the class for Joinery Lab Time to practice your skills!
About the instructor: Dan Bochnovic is a perpetual hobbyist and lifelong woodworker who loves using tools. Professionally, Dan is a thirty year veteran in the recreational boating field with a reputation as a marine McGyver. It is fair to say that if it has a bow and a stern and is between eight and eighty feet, he has sailed it, motored it, or fixed it. Sailing highlights include numerous Mackinac races and fifteen years cruising between Chicago and the North Channel. When not sailing Dan regularly attends the Marc Adams School of Woodworking and the Detroit Makers Faire. Dan earned a BS in Computer Science, “because the computer is another tool I just had to learn how to use.”
