Immigration and Visas for Entrepreneurs
Although immigration can present some obstacles for entrepreneurs and early-stage companies, the Polsky Center will be hosting a workshop for those looking for more information on how to make the process an easier one. Led by Matthew Meltzer, cofounder of Meltzer Hellrung law firm, this presentation will cover visa and green card options for founders and entrepreneurs; options for sponsoring employees for visas and green cards; managing CPT/OPT for interns and recent graduates; and compliance and I-9 verification requirements.
Additional benefits of attending include:
- Gaining an understanding issues of equity and ownership with respect to immigration options
- Gaining an understanding what company milestones qualify a company to sponsor employees for visas and green cards
- Completing company obligations of sponsoring employees for visa and green cards
- Planning for international expansion or relationships.
