VC 101 for College Students

Join Polsky investor-in-residence (IIR), Guy Turner, MBA ’10, for a general information session focused on venture capital. Learn key insights into the industry, and how to successfully navigate the pursuit of a career in venture capital.

Guy Turner cofounded Hyde Park Venture Partners in 2011 after leaving Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on corporate strategy across a variety of industries. He spent his early career as a mechanical engineer with Raytheon and General Electric.

This event is an IIR workshop. The investor-in-residence program provides mentorship and coaching to University of Chicago Booth students interested in learning about and pursuing careers in private equity, venture capital, and entrepreneurship through acquisition. Successful Chicago-based investors are available to meet one-on-one with students throughout the academic year and host regular small group sessions and workshops.
