The Health Tech Studio Workshop will connect expertise and talent across scientific and technology disciplines of the University of Chicago to promote the development of early stage health technology innovation ideas and cross-disciplinary team formation with the goal of future participation in Polsky Center innovation programming including the Polsky I-Corps program Collaboratorium, and/or the Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge.

Workshop format //
Attendees will hear from an entrepreneur working in the health technology space in order to inspire and promote identification of problems and opportunities within the healthcare technology space. Participants will then be guided through activities to learn and utilize methods for idea generation, solution brainstorming, and team development with the intention of creating early team formation and areas of focus for future innovation. Following the discussion, participants will break in to smaller groups to brainstorm potential business solutions to the identified sectors, stakeholders, problem, and beneficiaries. All participants will walk away knowing the next steps to take in order to apply for upcoming innovation programming.
