Founders’ Equity and Dilution – How do you divide something that doesn’t exist?
When you are just starting a company, everyone on the team is so excited about the idea, working really hard and usually in agreement about most things. But as the company grows, things will get a lot more complicated. This workshop, led by Booth professor Waverly Deutsch, will look at the challenge of deciding who owns how much of the company and how you structure founders’ equity in case things change over time. We will also examine what happens when outside investors come into the picture and what that means for your ownership stake long term.
