Join the Polsky Center for a fintech speaker event on Tuesday, January 30 featuring Lending Club’s COO, Sameer Gulati, MBA ’05. Leading the talk will be Randy Kroszner, Norman R. Bobins Professor of Economics.
Attendees will gain behind-the-scenes knowledge about the rapid rise and unique paths taken by Lending Club to become a leading online lending company and market disrupter. As Chief Operating Officer, Sameer is responsible for Corporate Strategy, M&A and Enterprise Business Development, and Product Development. Before joining Lending Club, Sameer was a partner and leader of the Digital Banking & Consumer Credit practice at McKinsey & Company in New York and London. During his 10+ years with McKinsey, he advised established and emerging financial services institutions on growth and transformation initiatives in consumer credit, digital payments, and risk management. He is a well-respected thought leader, regularly speaking at banking and fintech conferences, as well as authoring documents on financial services and credit card issues, trends, and seminal financial service sector topics. Prior experience includes several years in technology roles at Cambridge Technology Partners and Integral, where he designed and implemented solutions for financial services players. Sameer holds an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi.
