ETA Lunch-n-Learn: The Legal Aspects of a Search Fund

Join Polsky Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Alex Hodgkin ’14 and Raam Jani, Partner at McDermott Willl & Emery for a lunch-n-learn focused on the legal aspects of a Search Fund.

Alex Hodgkin, MBA ’14, has spent the bulk of his career in investment banking and entrepreneurship. He has worked at Salomon Smith Barney and Headwaters MB. He is the co-founder and managing partner of Intrinsic, a financial services firm providing valuation opinions and transaction advisory services to venture- and private equity-backed companies and high net worth individuals.

Raam S. Jani focuses his practice on the areas of private equity/emerging companies and mergers and acquisitions, and is the co-head of the Firm’s Search Fund Practice. Raam has helped lead McDermott’s rise to being one of the leading law firms handling search fund transactions and other transactions leading to entrepreneurship through acquisition. Raam’s involvement has included numerous speaking engagements at business schools and building connections with the search fund investor community, both in Chicago and throughout the United States.

This event is open to current Booth students only, preferably students with an interest in ETA. Lunch will be provided and the session will start promptly at 12:00 p.m. so please arrive early to grab food and find your seat.
