Join students in the University of Chicago Law School’s Innovation Clinic and its director, Assistant Clinical Professor Emily Underwood, to learn about basic employment law matters relevant to startups. We will discuss the employee vs. independent contractor distinction, the onboarding process, how to document these relationships and common terms included in such agreements, and more.  We will also briefly touch on how to grant equity to employees and other pieces of applicable law.
