Student Startup Madness is a nationwide tournament-style competition for college student digital media startups, culminating with with the “Entrepreneurial Eight” national finals at South By Southwest (SXSW) Interactive in March.

College student teams with digital media startups (in concept, in development, or in operation) can apply. In keeping with the SXSW Interactive focus, all teams should fall into at least one of the following categories: Augmented and Virtual Reality, Enterprise and Smart Data, Entertainment and Content, Health and Wearable, Hyper-Connected Communities, Payment and FinTech, Security and Privacy, Social & Culture, Sports and Performance Data, and Transportation.
