In 2018, as a joint effort to educate and develop the next generation of business leaders, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and its Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, together with C200 announced a new five-year partnership focused on supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, social impact, and the advancement of women. A total of nine student entrepreneurs will be selected to receive a $10,000 Scholar Award — three students will be awarded each year in the first, third, and fifth years of the partnership. Those interested in applying for the award’s second cohort are encouraged to do so by Friday, March 6, 2020.

C200 is an international membership organization comprised of the world’s top female C-Suite executives and entrepreneurs working to advance women in business. Its membership represents companies with more than $1.4T in combined revenue, and employs more than 2.5M people. This partnership is part of C200’s signature Reachout program that connects its members with university students across the world.

Winners will also receive customized support from the Polsky Center and dedicated space to work on their startups full-time over the summer months. Additionally, a larger group of Chicago Booth students and faculty will be invited to exclusive programming and networking events with C200 business leaders focused on entrepreneurship as part of the multi-year collaboration.

Applications are now being accepted and should be submitted by the March 6 deadline. A reception and dinner to honor recipients of this award will take place on Thursday, April 2 from 5:00 – 8:30 pm at Harper Court in Downtown Hyde Park. Applicants are expected to attend this event— please plan accordingly.
