The Polsky Center Announces the 20 Startups Selected for India Deep Tech Accelerator

The inaugural cohort of the India Deep Tech Accelerator.
The Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation today announced the 20 startups selected to join the inaugural cohort of the India Deep Tech Accelerator, a global accelerator designed to help high-potential, Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)-affiliated ventures translate breakthrough innovation into scalable, market-ready companies.
Launched earlier this year in collaboration with the India Deep Tech Alliance (IDTA) and leading IIT ecosystem partners, the accelerator connects IIT-affiliated founders with the resources, mentorship, and networks needed to accelerate commercialization and pursue international growth opportunities.
The selected companies represent a range of deep tech sectors, including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and robotics, climate and energy, space technology, semiconductors, industrial IoT, advanced materials, healthtech, and medtech. Over the course of the 10-week program, founders will engage in targeted workshops, one-on-one coaching, and networking with global customers, partners, and investors, culminating in showcase opportunities in both India and the United States.
“The companies in this cohort reflect the depth of innovation emerging from India’s top technical institutions,” said Shyama Majumdar, senior director of science accelerators and investments at the Polsky Center. “Through this accelerator, we are helping founders strengthen their commercial strategy, connect with global markets, and build the momentum needed to scale. We’re excited to support this group as they take the next steps in their journey.”
The India Deep Tech Accelerator builds on the Polsky Center’s experience in venture creation and startup support, creating a pathway for international founders to access U.S. markets, investor networks, and commercialization expertise.
“One of the biggest gaps we see isn’t in technical ability, it’s in how India’s deep tech founders position, communicate, and fundraise at a global level,” said Rahul Singal, associate director of accelerators and investments. “Bridging that gap can meaningfully change outcomes.”
By bringing together academic institutions, investors, and ecosystem leaders across geographies, the program aims to accelerate the development of globally competitive deep tech companies.
