The Technology Commercialization and Licensing team, a group of experts at the Polsky Center, deploy technologies developed by University researchers for significant positive social and economic impact. Started in the late 1980s as Arch Development Corporation, and becoming UCTech in 2001 (then UChicagoTech) and part of the Polsky Center in 2016, the Technology Commercialization and Licensing team continues to help faculty and researchers transform their groundbreaking ideas and discoveries into products, services, and ventures. The team also partners with existing companies to help faculty and researchers take their technologies and discoveries from bench to bedside.
The Technology Commercialization and Licensing Team at the Polsky Center supports startups that are developing life-saving cancer therapeutics, improving disease diagnostics, increasing quality of education and training, creating green tech energy solutions, and more.
