Fellowships and Awards

The Polsky offers fellowships and awards for students who are interested in entrepreneurship and private equity who have demonstrated leadership both in classroom and out.

Polsky Founders' Fund Fellowship (PF3)
The Polsky Founders’ Fund Fellowship (PF3) is a resource available to graduating University of Chicago and Chicago Booth students and decelerating Chicago Booth students who are committed to growing a company. The goal of the program is to provide entrepreneurs with a resource package to allow them to help sustain momentum on their ventures as they transition out of the University of Chicago. Entrepreneurship Internship Program (EIP)
Through the Entrepreneurial Internship Program (EIP), students participate in internships locally and globally, with a company in a traditional entrepreneurship track or within the social entrepreneurship sector. During the ten-week program, interns might find themselves rewriting a business plan, presenting to investors and/or customers, performing a market survey, identifying alternative distribution channels, exploring alternative financing structures, or improving information systems. NOTE: This program is only open to first-year Chicago Booth students.

Herman Family Fellowship
The Herman Family Fellowship was established in 1995 by Karen and Michael Herman, '64, to provide incoming female students with an opportunity to pursue their entrepreneurial interests. NOTE: This program is only open to Chicago Booth students.

Canfield Private Equity Fellowship
The Canfield Private Equity Fellowship was established in 1998 by Phil Canfield, '96, managing director at GTCR, to support incoming students pursuing careers in private equity. NOTE: This program is only open to Chicago Booth students.

Vashee Promising Entrepreneur Award
The Vashee Promising Entrepreneur Award, generated from the Sita and Vijay Vashee, '77, and Promising Entrepreneur Endowment Fund, provides a monetary award to a graduating student who has demonstrated leadership in entrepreneurship. NOTE: This program is only open to Chicago Booth students.

Moulder Student Entrepreneur Award
The Moulder Student Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by Lonnie Moulder, '97, provides a monetary award to a graduating student who has launched or significantly grown a new venture while at Chicago Booth and benefited from Polsky Center programs and the entrepreneurship curriculum to advance the venture. NOTE: This program is only open to Chicago Booth students.

Madison Dearborn Partners Private Equity Award
The Madison Dearborn Partners Private Equity Award is a monetary award granted to a graduating student who has demonstrated leadership and interest in private equity through the courses he or she has taken and his or her participation in private equity programming. NOTE: This program is only open to Chicago Booth students.

Hyde Park Angels Venture Capital Award 
The Hyde Park Angels Venture Capital Award is given to an MBA student who has accepted a summer internship in venture capital and will be returning to continue his or her studies at Chicago Booth in the fall. This student must have demonstrated a commitment to a career in venture capital. NOTE: This program is only open to Chicago Booth students.

Khosla-Booth Private Equity Fellowship
The Khosla-Booth Private Equity Fellowship, sponsored by Victor, '83, and Gail Khosla, provides support annually for up to two female and/or international students in the full-time MBA program with demonstrated interests or backgrounds in the private equity industry. The fellowship will also provide students with mentorship and assistance in securing internships at private equity firms. NOTE: This program is only open to Chicago Booth students.
